These Sacred Sexuality Teachings have their origin in the ancient native cultures of North, South and Central America (Turtle Island). The Quodoushka teachings provide a framework for understanding the limiting patterns that restrict our natural ability to experience joy. Exercises are taught such as the “Warriors Firebreath” which will not only energize and increase your ability to feel more pleasure in the body, this breathing method will assist you achieving full body orgasm. You will learn ways to increase your sensitivity, how to balance your chakras, as well as ways to release pain memories in the body. All of these methods are easy to learn, and fun to share. You will also learn about different types of orgasms, sexual anatomy, and many new tools to have a more creative and loving sexual life. You may attend Q1 with a partner and do all exercises together, or you may attend as a single and share the exercises with various partners. During Quodoushka each exercise is demonstrated by our staff, and you are always encouraged to participate in a way that feels right for you. Our program has been enjoyed by thousands of people for over 20 years, and we take great care to ensure your comfort and safety. What the Sacred Sexuality workshops are about

The word “sacred” is used here to say that our sexual energy is precious, a treasure to be held dear. Sexual energy is the generative, creative force of the universe. Considering it sacred means to simply live, without restraining or suppressing natural tendencies. It means being authentic, living in full acknowledgment of your own senses, while honoring other people’s views. Sacred sexuality also means practicing spiritual sexual methods for the greater health, happiness and appreciation of life. As many experience, Quodoushka is not just about sex, its about living what native people call, “the beauty way.”

Many of us who are exploring the nuances of sexual energy may be beginning to understand the direct connection between sexuality and spirituality. For many, spirituality is separate from sex. By bringing a spiritual sense into our sexuality, it simply means we become more aware of one another. We take greater care in saying what we need and desire and we are able to listen better to the needs of others.

As we begin to experience sexual energy as a natural beautiful part of ourselves, our sexuality begins to change. Sex not only becomes more enjoyable, every aspect of our lives breathes a little easier. That’s because when we are enjoying loving touch and enjoying more pleasure, we are generally happier. We have more energy to do the things we love and we are more creative.

Several ancient cultures over hundreds of years have secretly cultivated beneficial sexual practices for men and women. These practices have almost always been shared personally and with great care with those individuals who are willing to devote time and energy to understand how to use their sexual energies in a healing manner. For those who are interested in the intrinsic play between spirituality and sexuality, between masculine and feminine energies, between Yin and Yang, between the Sun and Earth there will be much to learn, to explore and to experience in these beautiful teachings.

Whether you are in a relationship, or are seeking one, having a good flow of your sexual energy will keep you young, happy, healthy and alive. Unquestionably, our sexual energy influences every facet of our lives. When we feel sick, ill at ease or highly stressed, usually our sexual feelings are the first thing to go. Too often, we let all sorts of reasons distract us from expressing ourselves naturally. All too often, poor habits diminish our sexual energy and weaken our libido. We gradually lose our sexual interests and miss out on the healing powers of sexual energy. Quodoushka teaches that we already posses everything we need to experience pleasure and joy. In many cases, its merely a question of “getting out of our own way” and letting go of past experiences that hold us back from enjoying ourselves.

For both men and women, having good strong orgasms is the body’s natural means of bringing back balance and harmony. Sexual energy is very powerful and it was given by Great Spirit to every one of us. We can either learn to use it well or we can ignore it. If neglected, denied or repressed, sexual energy can cause both physical and emotional dysfunction. If sex is forced, or expressed without sensitivity and respect it can also cause great harm. Each of us can learn to get back into balance within ourselves. When shared, with care, understanding and love, sexual energy can not only bring deep bliss and joy, ultimately; it can become the means to feel connected with all of life.

History of Quodoushka

Quosdoushka teachings are based on shamanic traditions of Turtle Island which integrate spirituality and sexuality as an integral part of life.

Some of these teachings originate from ancient Mayan and Toltec schools of learning. Preserved through thousands of years of oral tradition, many of these sexual teachings were forced underground after the Spanish Conquest by Cortes, Pizzaro and others, as well as by the invasion of Europeans onto the North American Continent. Carried into the present by courageous individuals who in many cases risked their lives to ensure these teachings would remain intact for the next seven generations, Quodoushka is today presented in a workshop format intended to preserve the beauty and power of the origional teachings.

Quodoushka Teachers
Amara Charles is qualified to teach all levels of Quodouska and has been teaching internationally since 1987. There are few authorized Quodoushka Teachers, as training can take over ten years to become qualified. Teachers are trained to provide guided exercises and ceremonies that maintain the integrity of the Quodoushka Teachings.

In closing, the message of Quodoushka:
We are born to experience pleasure, to know ourselves as sensual, sexual human beings. However many of us have been taught to suppress our pleasure, particularly the joy we feel in expressing our sexuality. In so doing, we hide our sexuality from our loved ones and rob ourselves of our creative life-force. Ancient wisdom reminds us that sexual pleasure is both a natural and essential part of human experience. The ancient cultures of North, South and Central America understood the value of conscious sexual expression. They knew that rather than being at odds with our spiritual nature, our sexual nature plays a vital role in our spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.
